What happens next and how much will it cost?
Designing and installing a garden can double
your return on investment. Spend between 4-10% of your property value on installing a new garden and you
could add between 10-20% to the value of your house. The garden often represents the largest room
in your house, yet for so many it remains unfurnished and undecorated.
For me though, the real reason for
having your garden designed professionally is that it can be the most beautiful room you have - as the decor of a well designed
garden morphs seamlessly throughout the seasons.
I believe in up front, and transparent pricing. My
fees are structured as recommended by the Society of Garden Designers.
From Analysis to Design and Construction..
Site
Analysis The site analysis articulates a deep understanding of the physical, functional and aesthetic characteristics
of your site. Functional diagrams marry this information with the client brief and begin the process of allocation
of space
Sketch Plan This is the main design drawing. It is to scale, and hand rendered. The
Sketch Plan shows you a tangible bird's eye vview of your designed space, and should also give you an idea of design style
Mood Board We work with you to produce an aestheically beautiful mood board that reflects the
individual style and vision for your space
Perspective Drawings These hand drawings
are an artist's impression of what your garden will look like
3D Animes A 3D animation
is also produced using the latest software to give you a computerised walkthrough of your new space. The 3D walkthrough
is an important aspect of the design process. It gives you a valuable insight into the allocation of space from
height, depth, and time dimensions (eg we can show you your garden from different angles and times of day.)
Construction Drawings These to scale architectural drawings enable landscapers and construction
teams to construct your design exactly as intended
